I  cannot thank Clarusway enough for my life-changing experience during my Full Stack Development course. As someone with no prior IT background, I was unsure if I could make a successful career transition into the tech industry. However, the expert guidance and personalized support I received from Clarusway’s instructors and career coaches were invaluable. The curriculum was well structured and provided hands-on experience that prepared me for real-world projects. Today, I work remotely as a front-end developer for a digital marketing agency in Canada and as a React Native developer for a startup company that develops mobile applications for electric vehicles. I highly recommend Clarusway to anyone who wants to pursue a tech career and achieve their dreams.

Hi Muharrem, can you please introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your background?

Hello, I’m Muharrem, 33 years old. I had no IT background before starting my full-stack training at Clarusway. I have a bachelor’s degree. My last job was to deliver cargo with my own vehicle. I wanted to take my place in this new world developing with technology, and as a result of my long research, I met and got to know Clarusway closely because after the age of 33, I made a big career change in my life and now I have a life as I dreamed. I had a challenging course adventure.  I carried out my studies in a planned and patient manner for at least 10 hours, 6 days a week for 9 months, and my course ended in November. I started applying for jobs, and on January 18, 2023, I started working as a front-end developer in a digital marketing agency in Canada. I work remotely. I work peacefully in a great company that is very high quality and cares about human life. On March 18, 2023, I started working in 2 companies simultaneously as a React Native developer in a startup company that develops a mobile application with many features such as charging stations and appointment systems for electric vehicles. I work remotely in both companies.

What motivated you to transition from delivery to the IT field, specifically front-end development?

In this rapidly developing technology world, I saw that software is in every aspect of our lives, and when I witnessed the wonderful lives of my friends who switched to informatics before me, I took my place in the field of informatics without wasting any time.

How did you first come across Clarusway, and what inspired you to join their Frontend Development course?

I met Clarusway on the recommendation of a friend who took a course at Clarusway. I was intrigued by his success and the positive change in his life, and I immediately started my education at Clarusway.

As someone with no prior IT background, how was your experience learning and adapting to the world of front-end development?

Starting an education in a new field is not easy. Until he met Clarusway, of course. I had a very difficult time. I worked at a very intense pace. My teachers, mentors, and teammates were very helpful in the course. At the end of this training, we succeeded by working together and not giving up. Thanks, Clarusway.

Can you share your experiences during the Clarusway boot camp, including the learning environment, instructors, mentors, and fellow students?

Applying a great training methodology, the Clarusway course does the job really well. The teachers who are experts in their fields and the mentors who take care of us provide training in a very harmonious way. Career training is a great opportunity for those without an IT background. We got very good information in these pieces of training. It helped us a lot in job applications, and now we have mastered everything. The most important area of our training, which went in a planned and coordinated way, was team friendship and doing projects with the team. The most important and interesting part of the Clarusway course was team friendship. It has contributed very well to our development.

How would you describe the curriculum and the teaching methods used at Clarusway? Were there any particular topics or projects that stood out to you?

Before entering the lessons, preparations were made for the lesson with pre-lesson training. This method helped us to understand the topics in the lesson better. The Kahoot competitions held at the end of the lesson allowed us to repeat and remember the topics we saw in the lesson. The project assignments are given after the lesson is related to our subjects. The fact that we gave lectures in team work 2 days a week and told our friends about the training subjects we received did the training we received more understandable. This training methodology was great, and Clarusway was very successful at it.

Can you talk about the support you received from career coaches throughout the course and during your job search process?

Our career coaches took care of us personally. They strictly followed all the requirements in the field of IT and enabled us to graduate at the highest level and settle into our jobs.

How long did it take for you to land your first job as a front-end developer after completing the boot camp? What was that experience like?

I found a job in less than 2 months. I applied for a job at the company I work for now, and they took me for an interview. Pre-interview and technical interviews were made. After passing the preliminary interview, they gave me a task about their job and asked me to do it. The task given to me was a website. I successfully published the website. They liked my work, and I started working officially.

Tell us about the project you are currently involved in related to the charging stations of electric vehicles. How has your experience with React Native been so far?

I have no previous experience with React Native. I did not write any code in the mobile area. Since we took React training in the course, I had little difficulty. There were only syntax changes. Allowed 3 days to get used to the native syntax. After learning in 3 days, a small task was given. The given task is now a component structure in the developed application. This was very difficult for me. Because I had to write code inside the codes written by others. After successfully completing the given task, I was hired.

What role did Clarusway’s career services play in helping you secure a job in the tech industry?

Definitely, cms; career training played a very important role. Our mentors and career educators took care of us personally. They have brought us to a very good level in the social area, such as their LinkedIn and GitHub profiles.

Looking back at your journey, what advice would you give to incoming students or people considering a career change into IT?

I would like to say that they need to work very hard. This is not an easy road. The biggest piece of advice I can give them during the course is that teamwork is very important. Working with their teammates in a planned manner without giving up will bring them success at the end of this course. I say this as a student who has experienced it. It is very important.

How do you see your career in front-end development evolving in the future? Are there any specific goals or projects you would like to work on?

The journey I planned for my IT career. By bringing myself to a good level in software. To be beneficial to humanity with my projects. Developing projects that will make people’s lives easier and taking part in commercial life. Making money by making software, not working as a software developer. My goals.

Lastly, is there anything you wish you had known before starting your journey into frontend development and the Clarusway boot camp?

I wish I had known the importance of knowing a programming language before starting my journey into front-end development. Knowing a programming language can make it easier to learn other languages in the future and allow for a smoother transition into a new field.

Muharrem’s journey from delivery driver to front-end developer is an inspiring story of determination, hard work, and the transformative power of education.
